Bumper question 66 dart

are there 2 different front bumpers for a 66 dart ? , i have seen pics of either of the 2 choices ,, my 66 convertible has 2 bolts close together on top of it ( see pic) and most of the ones i find have a single bolt between the turn signal and curve .

Interesting.

I'm not finding 2 bolts next to each other like in your photo.

I'm seeing 1 bolt just above the parking light but in line with the other on the face of the bumper. This pushes the parking light down in the bumper.

Looks like you have a 66 valiant front bumper on your dart.

My guess is the bumper brakets are not going to fit the dart bumper

So if i find brackets , i could run the bumper in my second pic and it would fit the body lines ok ? . other then they take different turn signal housings

If the bumper is for a 66 dart and you have a 66 dart I don't see any reason it will not fit.

Are you sure you have a Dart?

To verify which bumper you have, look at the turn signal lens. If it has a 66V on it, it's a Valiant bumper.

Yeah, at some point in your Dart's life someone slapped a Barracuda/Valiant bumper and brackets on it.
You'll need the Dart bumper brackets ('66 only) to mount the correct bumper on it.

Thank you for the info . i never thought to look at valiant pictures when i was looking for one . Off to hunt for 66 brackets
