ever had one of those days? I finally worked on the vert, put in firewall pad *& hook ed the heater box up, then started the conversion to manual steering. I've had the parts for some time--- The short version is I swapped the manual steering shaft to my power steering column (floor shift), got it painted nice & purdy--- placed it in the car . Went to put the donor column back together & whoa-- the spring washer that fits under the column is sitting on the bench!!!

will disassemble another day-- put the car up & left the tools in a pile, not on my 2nd refreshing beverage!!

Damn, sounds like my kinda luck !! Feels like you take one step forward and two steps back !!! At least it has in my case !!! Almost enough to make me lose interest in my project !!!

I put an entire trans and tranfer case in a 4x4 once and turned around to get something and tripped over the converter.

Does that count?

I was getting paid by the hour and it only took about 30-40 min to pull it again and put it back in.

I was laughing,,,,,the Boss not so much. :D

There's always setbacks. Tackle them when you are good and ready. Don't let the gremlins get to you...

That is a little different scenario. Still, what a kick in the balls, lol

I get tired of saying... "chock that one up to experience..." "or live and learn..." "now I know for next time!". Sometimes I wonder when will learning the hard way translate into not making the same mistake twice!:banghead:
