Hello, just ordered a set of cam bolts for a 69 Barracuda. Got them from Americam Muscle. They showed one set of bolts for A,B & E body cars.
Problem is my cam bolts are 4 inches long, the new bolts are 3 3/4. While this in itself is not a problem, the non threaded portion of the bolt that would go through the bushing on the old bolt is 2 1/2 inches where the non threaded portion of the new bolt is only 1 3/4 inches. This means I will have a threaded portion of the new bolt inside the bushing. I am afraid this will cause a sloppy fit with possible play in the bushing and upper control arm. Anyone know if this will be a problem? AS Always, thanks for any input. Lugnut
