Ok, maybe it should be called effective stroke length.

Either way it’s still a ratio. That’s like saying you have a variable compression ratio engine.

It’s always the volume above the piston at TDC over the volume above the piston at BDC.

The relationship of those two things never changes.

It’s the same with effect compression ratio engine. It doesn’t change.
