Shutudown4 here
Very frustrating past few weeks
Ready to start fresh BB
Having a major ignition wiring issue
1968 cuda
I’ve never had a single issue w this dar
Wiring is all tested and correct
Using power master starter obviously because of TTI big block pipes
Can’t get 12 volts from trunk battery up to the solenoid relay
0.0 volts. Motor is well-grounded in several areas
Ran a wire directly from battery to get the 12 bolts to relay
Turned key and only got rapid fire starter solenoid clicking
Start won’t engage to crank the motor over
Headlights won’t come on either
What am I missing?

You either need a helper, or some wire, so someone can read the meter or watch the test light. "Rig" ANY wire you have including an extension cord so you have wire to reach from the rear battery to the front. Now you can test various places.

First thing I'd do is do that or rig another way to read the meter, and clip it across the battery. See if you have voltage at the rear when you jumper the solenoid. Don't rule ANYTHING out just because it looks clean or is new. As said, battery may be down

Oxide on battery posts or clamps.
Faulty connection(s) from clamps to cable.
Don't rule out a defective cable. Might have been stressed in manufacturing and internally broken.

Might be worth it to drum up a GOOD set of jumper cables, and jumper a known good battery direct to the block and to the starter stud if you can get there.

If you have zero volts up front then you have a major problem with cables.

What does well grounded mean? With a trunk battery you need at least a 4 gauge ground from engine to frame. And the same in the trunk from battery to frame.

Sounds like the battery may be dead?
Have you checked the simple things, that’s what’s easy to overlook.
The wiring is the same as it’s always been. All ignition wires traced from start to finish
Battery is one week old 12.5 volts
New relay on driver fenderwell
New ignition switch
I even used my old one that wasn’t even broken
The wire terminal positions/configuration in the 1968 Plymouth manual does not match up with the actual ignition switch yerminals
Book says bottom terminal black wire is for accessories the actual ignition switch days ignition 2
This is what I’m dealing with and one or two others
