can a 440 be installed from underneath?

If you are using factory mounts on a 440 yout heater motor will not interfere with the valve cover. Only on the HEMI you have to change the motor. Here is pics of my M Code 69 Cuda

It is great to see this! Do you have more pictures? You could set a standard here on how an RB fits in a late-A body. I have a 383 in a Dart and it appears the engine sits a little higher and back a little more than yours. I'm using slant-6 K member conversion mounts, and I'm curious about the relationship of the right valve cover to the blower motor and the proximity of your kickdown linkage to the wiring bulkhead. Your car appears ready to provide real answers if aiming for a raised deck!

If you go back to Post 21, You will see on my 2 Hemi Cars the heater motor is shorter to accomodate the bigger head. I also have a 68 383 Cuda but unfortunatley the car is in restoration mode and the engine and trans are out. I can send you pics of the K Frame before i took it out of the car If that would help. Take note it is a factory 383 Formula S

nice, that is the look I'm going for, I want it to look like it came from the factory with the big block

These are pics of my 68 383 K member after the engine was pulled. To use this K frame you also need the correct motor mounts that bolt to the engine as well,
