Here is the number PK4348768 8736 6117
Anyone have any info on this? Thanks

Ok thanks. Can you tell if it’s a lock up by that number?

If the trans is out of the vehicle, remove the convertor and look at the end of the input shaft. Splines all the way, non lock up. End of shaft spline machined down, lock up.

4348768 truck transmission - a727,with long extension D body with 318 engine low stall without lock-up 1986.

All of the dodge truck service manuals from 1980 thru 1987 list 727 non lockup and lockup transmissions. There are 26 part numbers listed for 727 non lockup truck transmissions from 1980 thru 1987. Also Transtar the largest transmission parts company in the country shows 727 non lockup transmissions and torque converters in dodge trucks of the 1980's.

Don't read that Hemmings article. It has so much bogus information that a newbie would be worse off for reading it.

My son has a 89 ramcharger and also used to have a 90 w250 both came with non lockup 727s.
He replaced the one in the ramcharger with a trans from 81 that is a pickup.i still have that 89, non lockup 727 in my garage.
And as late as the late 90s/early 2000s, dodge vans with the 3.9 and jeep wranglers with auto trans had a a 999 (version of 904) with non lockup. Have worked on "2 or 3" over the years.
