I did not posted here since I need a few pics. Need to see spark plug wires, as Hooker needs 6 straight and 2 angle to get under the 5 and 7 spark plugs. And a other things not exhaust related.
So show me your motors with 453.
thanks.

Dougs d453 installed on my 74 duster.

^ What he said. Looks just like my Dart.

^ BigStrok3- Any interference with the Manuel Steering box on the 74?

Done a couple sets. Straight plug boots on both, plenty of room. As far as installing headers go, they are a dream.
Cured black vht paint here.

Any idea how they fit with ps? Cost and are they ceramic coated?
Coated is $800.00 about the same I paid for the Super Comps. The Hookers are longer tubes and larger diameter but #3 tube goes over the 5 and 7 plugs so you need straight and 2 angle plug wires.

There are no spark plug clearance issues. They go in and out easy and just need 2 angled wires.
Hooker are 100 percent for spark plugs. BSo please don't state they don't. I have run Hookers for 40 years. As long as you do not drive like No Duke thet are fine.
The Hookers do make more power "are larger pipes" 1 3/4 balanced long tubes.
Not being nasty only down side is if someone wants heavy street use Hookers, Headman ect. may not be for you.
Just wanted pics of the engine bay and how things sat with them.
When motor is out may swap the headers while out.
Still beating the idea around as to keep the Hookers in there or not for the 422six.
It's a completely diff motor.
I will post the rest of the exhaust in that section.

I like the Doug's headers better, especially for the spark plug clearance

Best bet for dougs is search the part number d453 on autozone.com when they are doing 20 % off and free shipping. Ive got 2 sets that way. I cant speak how they fit with power steering but i honestly dont see there being an issue.

If someone has the Doug's 453 headers with factory power steering, I would appreciate some photos or even comments on how good they fit.
I'm thinking of doing this with a '69 Dart 340 that has manual steering and Doug's 453 coated headers on it now.
Thank you.

Those headers, if they are super comps, are the 1 5/8" headers #5116 They are the same routing set up as the cheaper 5901 header. Same tube size as Dougs 453's.

The 1 3/4" hookers 5204 look nothing like the 5116/5901 variants. All the cheap copies out there route like the 5901. No tube crossovers on 5204's, all drop down. These are A body SB hooker 1.75 headers.

1973 K frame in a 70-71 car IIRC Acccording to dougs, they aren't suppose to fit or maybe it was summit. 73+ model year K, 727 trans, yep no fit there.

Thanks for the pictures.
This is what I have to work with right now.
It is a '69 Dart 340 column auto with manual steering and a factory K-member and motor mounts.
The motor mounts are new and the engine sits nice and straight.
As you can see, the lower part of the column just touches the #7 tube.
From your picture, the spool K-member and mounts locate the engine forward and up a bit as well as the steering coupler is close to if not actually hitting #7 tube...
