can I swap old springs to new heads

Bought new AL heads. Keeping same cam. Can I take springs off old heads and transfer them to new heads, 590 mech lift cam at .050. What degree locks should I use?

are you using the same cam you had before? I assume AL means aluminum?

Its ok to use new springs with an old cam. old=2000 miles

what locks are the safest?

Yes, if you have checked them for pressure and they are good and they install at the same height. Locks should be the same as the retainer.
