I am having some problems installing my new edelbrock air gap intake (bolts don't line up with thick gaskets) to my stock J headed 360 engine. I have another thread going on this forum called "Intake won't bolt on!".
The consensus seems to be to either mill the intake or try to use a thinner intake gasket (instead of the suggested .060). I ordered some gasket paper to make my own gaskets if need be but I also found a set of metal shim gaskets .021. can I use these on my aluminum intake or would that cause a problem with the different metals?
