Can YOU list all of the A body cars you've owned?

'70 slant, that looked like a 340
'73 383 4-speed with a duck tail and a bad front drivers rail
'70 408 Stoker 4-speed ..whoa, this sucker could move. :)
'70440dart .. my first A-body Mopar > ever..1993..my wife and daughter called it "the mutt" because I owned a '72 Chevelle at the time that was almost perfect, a lot of work went into this one. Sold it in primer ..shouldn't have sold it. :(
'72 340 4-speed original numbers matching 62,000 miles on it, made $$$ when I sold this sweet thing a few years ago..

Old man mopar sees thread title and says “hold my beer”

lolll

looking forward to his list

In the early 80's, I bought a no-motor or trans 69 Dart GTS 340 4spd that was set up for racing. I put a 440 6 pack and 727 in it. It had a 4.10 8 3/4 with SS springs. I had 5 G's in it and got scared! Still needed paint, a better rear and trans. Now it would be gold. lol

In about 1983, I bought a 72 340 Demon, 727, 3.23 sure grip. It didn't run, and had a so-so paint job over brutal body work. All it needed was head gaskets (I bought it not knowing what was wrong) and I drove it every day and bracket raced it for about 4 years. I paid $400 for it. The body guy where I worked needed money, and we put the body back to original; B5 and matte black side and rear panel stripes. Too bad it was a low compression, small intake valve 340.

Skip forward to 2008, I bought a 74 Dart Sport, with a 198, 3 on the tree, no PS, no PB, radio delete. Pretty straight, with minimal rust. I like that it has a clutch pedal (future 4 spd?) and has no PS or PB for racing. I didn't have time or money till about 3 years ago. (Been in a heated garage.) It's now cloned into a 70-71 Duster with a 360, 727, 9" Ferd rear, 'glas hood, fenders and bumpers. It'll be a street/strip toy, that I may bracket race. Still needs work, but the Covid thing has given me time to work on it. I haven't raced in 25 years.

One that I can remember... 1973 Duster. Slant with a TF. Circa 1976... baby blue with black interior. Three years old and the torsion bar mounts were rusted out.

65 Dart as a daily driver from '88 to '95. It had one passing safety inspection sticker that entire time. Used to tow a boat with it and crashed it a couple times. One was pretty spectacular in 1989. Stuffed a huge 10 pointer in the trunk my buddy shot in '91. it had parts from all over Vermont and western Mass. Mostly from a 64 gt at a junkyard in Bernardston. Only mention it cuz there was a complete 65 Barracuda there too. the owner always said, "If I live long enough, Im gonna fix that one up" and not to touch it... If anyone's ever in that neck of the woods. You should see if he "lived long enough"!!!

68 Barracuda I picked up in Tacoma Washington in 2011.

Just five for me. Back in the day, the first one was a 67 Dart like the one in post #10 but no vinyl roof. 273 car that got a 340 but I have no idea why I sold it or when. It was a DD. Next was a 73 Duster slant/auto. Also a DD, and again no idea where it went.

Fast forward 40 years, now it's a 66 Valiant 100 slant three-on-the-tree with a twin car for parts, and a 69 Dart that is slowly but surely getting ready to hit the streets. The Dart is a 340 car, 727 at the moment but likely going to be a 4-speed before I get done with it.

I almost forgot! In addition to what I listed in post 53, also in the early 80s, I also had a 73 Dart Sport, slant, auto. Was the rustiest car ever had. The drivers outside door handle fell off. I had to section in a piece of aluminum that I had to screw it back on. lol I also used body-colored duct tape on the lower quarters for “rust repair”. I couldn’t kill that car. I sold it to a friend for $75 and a friend of his slid it on wet leaves into a curb sideways. Junk.
