440 with sniper efi. Tried to start the car the other day but battery was apparently dead despite being on a charger. I could barely get 5v max out of it, it was only 4 years old. Replaced with a new optima battery yesterday and while the engine cranks over I didn't hear the usual sound from the fuel pump when I turn the ignition on. My little sniper screen just says "no data" across it instead of the usual instruments and I'm wondering if either my pump (which is only a year old) failed or if something needs reset on the computer due to the dead battery.

where does your fuel pump get it's signal from with the sniper setup?

After some reading there is a relay for the fuel pump, so I'm going to take a look at that. I had a shop install the sniper so I don't know too much about its setup tbh.

It would almost all have to be done with the sniper setup to eliminate the mechanical fuel pump. The blank screen is probably the biggest clue...reboot but how.

That was my guess. Because he said other things on the screen were not working too. Like it needs reprogramming.

Problem solved. The relay checked out and when I was plugging it back in I saw an inline fuse below.... Guess what was blown. I'm just happy it was that simple.
