Hi all. Im wanting to buy my carb to finish the turbo project but im worried about it clearing my early cudas hood. I had a silicone elbow on my bad for a cold air intake and when I closed the hood it hit the elbow and pushed it down sort of causing a restriction in the air path. This time I've got a big holley 2 barrel with an adapter plate so the carb is higher than the bad so im very worried about the carb hat not clearing the hood. I was looking at the spectre low profile hat as its only 2.4 inches tall which might be enough to clear. However I've heard that a turbo hat must be at least 3 inches or the flow into the hat will have alot of turbulence and the car will be harder to tune. So for all you early A guys with turbo 2 barrels, or 4 barrels or just any of you running a carb hat for n/a cold air induction id like to know what you guys ended up running for hats and how well they clear the stock hoods. Pics would help alot too thanks guys!
