Looking for opinions. 70 340 Duster with a Single plane Holly Strip Dominator intake. Motor had a stumble off the line. Added a one inch 4 hole spacer and the problem went away but it seems I lost the mid range pull. Any ideas on some spacers

Off the line stumbles are usually a problem with accelerator pump...either the squirter is the wrong size..the pump does not squirt as soon as the throttle is moved...and/or is adjusted correctly.

4 hole spacers generally increase the low end torque...which maybe help hiding the stumble...

Most times when you make a change with anything - different types of spacers, cam, headers, intake, etc, you need to re-tune the carb to optimize it. Changes below the carb affects what the carb is doing, thus the jet, squirter and pump cam requirements.

It's not easy and requires trial & error tuning.
