carb spacer to tall

hi folks
i purchased a new edelbrock 2 inch off of e-bay then relized that it was to tall. has anyone ever milled down a spacer to there desired height? i would like to bring it down to 1 inch. i only paid 5 dollars for it so i can risk damaging it. this is a plastic 4 hole style for a holley 750 on a m-1 intake

why not get a 1inch filter drop plate?

i do already have a 1 inch bottom drop plate and i am using a 5 inch k&n filter so i don't want to really buy a shorter filter.

Have a industrial belt sander? how bout a milling machine? come on dude, it`s $5 bux. buy a 1" and be done with it. sell or give the 2" to afriend:-D

I have milled my spacer to half inch using an endmill on a bridgeport. Cuts like butter.:burnout:
