Has anyone thought about using or has used carbon fiber on their fiberglass hood.
I have not gotten the hood as of yet but I am thinking about this . Instead of painting my fiberglass hood im thinking about having carbon fiber put on it..
Any thoughts on this?

Are you talking about a vinyl wrap over the hood, cause that might pull off the look your going for... or are you talking about taking carbon fiber sheets and sticking it to your hood with bubble gum or duct tape, cause that would look..... great...

Duster44,
call me and we can talk. Vacuum bagging the hood is doable, its the making of a mold that no-one wants to touch. Real carbon fiber is expensive and ranges from $25-over $100 per yard depending on the denier-count/weave of the fabric. Then there are the multiple coats of resin/clear to give it a glossy finish. Again it can be done but its not cheap.
