Cargo floor carpet install?

I am replacing my original carpet in my 68 Barracuda.I pulled the original carpet from the cargo floor and it had a really thin board under it,maybe 1/16.What do you Guys and Gals replace this with?I was thinking maybe 1/8 masonite?Any ideas?

Mine had what looked like a thick brown paper sheet under it. I left it out and just used contact cement as the carpet backing was pretty thick.

I replaced the carpet in my 66 last summer and looked around and found Ram Board at Lowe's. It's nearly as thick as the original but not as smooth. It seemed to work just as well though. I used it on both the floor and the back of the seat. It's 3' wide by a bunch long.
