Carter AFB inlets/outlets and uses??

I picked up a Carter AFB Competition Series 9636SA four barrel carburetor with an electronic choke built in 2001. I bought a rebuild kit from Mike’s Carburetor Parts and cleaned/rebuilt the carb. I’ll put it on a fresh 318 I’m almost done building, which has vacuum advance, power brakes, and std PCV valve.

Which carburetor inlets and outlets (1,2,3,4,5,6 in photos) do I need and which ones can I cap off?

Can some of you smarter more experienced guys do me a favor and tell me which of the fittings in the photos “should” connector to what? And why one port is better than another for certain uses?

Here is a picture of mine. PCV and full manifold vacuum on the front. The other plugged outlet is ported vacuum. Large vent on the side capped, small vent open. Electric choke open.

qkcuda's pic does pretty well showing the ports to be capped. #3 leave open...that's fresh air for the electric choke.....cap it and the electric choke coil burns out....#1 and #2 are just extra bowl vents for charcoal cannister, etc, if equipped...they can be capped.
 
The info in post #2 is incorrect. The lower port [ driver side ] is full manifold vac. The pass side is ported vac.
 
Cap off #1, 2, 3 and 6. #4 to the vacuum advance and #5 to the PCV valve.

I've never in my life heard that one.
 
You guys are awesome. Based on what I read here, I will connect 1 to 3, cap 2, connect 4 to distributor advance, connect 5 to PCV valve, cap 6, and connect power brake booster to manifold vacuum near the booster. Now to finish building the thing and get it painted. Then begin the journey of rebuilding the darn car it will go in.
