This is what the title says. Not sure of size. Never had it apart, would be selling as needing full rebuild/restoration. Was quoted $350 for full resto by Scott Smith at Harms about two years ago. Bought this in as is/same condition as you see it here. All linkage moves freely. Throttle blade screws look to have been tampered with. I do not need to sell. No low ballers. Located in NW Iowa. $400 shipped to your door. Thanks, FABO!

Can you post any numbers on it?
Can you measure the primary venturi?
Picture of venturi?

Need to know if it's the 1000 cfm version, need the #s off the left rear by the mounting bolt

Those are the only numbers on this carb. You can see the corner base plate where the number would be on a production carb, not here on this one. No other number anywhere.

Was the venturi in the main body the difference between 850 and 1000? or bigger primaries, too?

Am I seeing things right and are those 1-5/8 primaries? Looks like it would flow at least a thousand CFM.

Motörhead! Look out, your wrist is on fire!

LMAO! Nice carb example.

408 swinger;

I’m hesitant to call what size that is exactly.
Either way these things are smokin good. A killer car if you have the engine for it. I also have the above 4846. A true 850 cfm. It’s barrels are pretty straight. No venturi.

Below is a drivers rear corner shot because I noticed your carb has a linkage piece that I or Motörhead’s doesn’t have.

I was interested in matching mine up to a known larger carb.

Thanks for sharing, good luck with the sale.

That linkage is tied to manual choke. When choke is pulled "on", it locks out the secondary.

I found a note saying a 4846s is a comp series 850 cfm and a 4847s is a comp series 1000 cfm.

If my eyes are not playing tricks on me, then that is the 1000 cfm version. The tell tale is the single booster in the primaries. It also appears to have no venturi. In order to achieve 1000 cfm carter deleted a booster ring and mad the primary throttle bores straight.

So did we establish what carb this is?
I don't think so. I think there is 2 styles early that the jets are pressed in and the later one is screw in jets and not interchangeable
so you have to find out what one it is.

Also, you won't find any numbers on the mounting pad. Comp series had a gold tag under the left rear screw under the choke cable bracket.

1000 and 850 versions in both press in and screw in jet configuration.
