Carter 9810 Thermoquad for sale. I removed this from a running 440.

Asking $125 plus shipping.

Unfortunately these carburetors will not fit in a flat rate shipping box.

I respectively disagree in regards to the large flat rate shipping box. Our business ships every day so I have a pretty good handle on how much packing something needs to survive a trip. This carburetor in particular has a 3/4-in spacer so it is proud of the box by at least .250 leaving 0 in for packing. Also note the thousand CFM model is 5/8 or so from the top of a large flat rate shipping box. If you were to take into account the linkage it is less than that. So at best that leaves you 5/16 of an inch on both sides for packing material. That is a poor business plan for both the seller and the buyer especially considering I am pricing these for us Blue Collar guys. I'm trying to protect my time and the buyers investment. If someone insists on using a large flat rate box so be it. To me it is just setting us up for thermoquadcide via USPS.

I did not take into account a spacer.
I do see the problem with that setup.
I'm game to do whatever I just hate to see things that we can't purchase readily get damaged in shipping. Between what they do to my driveway and how the packages appear to have been treated I have become pretty disgusted with the shipping industry. Not saying it's all bad so for those of you out there still doing it right thank you! Our country would fall flat on its face without the delivery trucks rolling.
