That works pretty well but let me tell you what I do. I always store cans of paint upside down. A can of paint that is stored right side up can still allow a tiny bit of air to leak in around the lid and a tiny bit of paint fumes to leak out, even if it appeared to be sealed well. If that same can is placed upside down, air and solvent fumes cannot get past the lid because liquid paint molecules are much larger than air and paint fume molecules. This works great but do it ONLY if the lid seals well. That's why I am always careful popping lids off. I know that some of you are going to say BS to this, but it does work.One thing I'll say, is to make sure to seal the unused can up GOOD! I put saran wrap on inside, then the lid.
