Casting Numbers on Engine

I have a motor and don't know what size it is. I was told it was a 360, but want to make sure. I have look up many casting number with no luck. I pull this number off the front of the engine on the drivers side.

"5M318" "03141357"

and I pull this off the side of the block on the drivers side.

"4323330318-13"

Here is your block: 4323330 as you described,but there is no number like that,but there is a 4323302 forth genaration block,86-90.
5M318= 1985 mound road plant,318
0314=10,000 day calender
1357=the 1357 motor built at that plant
The 13 stands for the 13th time that mold has been refitted
So double check your casting number and post back,mrmopartech

I found this link that says my number is a 318.

Being it is the later of the 318 LA's it will have provisions for roller lifters.

It was about '85 for the 318. The block casting number that rypp77 has is the one that has it. These motors could come either way, flat tappet or roller tappet but it is the same block.
