Cat Pics

This is my cat Stripey. He slept on my legs in bed every night for fifteen years. He went to heaven last Christmas. Putting him to sleep was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. In that time I went through four homes, twenty cars, five jobs, four bankruptcies, and eight girlfriends. Through all the hardships and good times, he was the only constant in my life. It may sound crazy, but I can honestly say that without him, I wouldn't be here today.
I never want to feel loss like that again; but I've realized that the more you hurt when your pet goes to heaven, that means the more you loved them. There are alot of cats out there that need a loving home, and I'm willing to hurt more in the future, so another cat can have a wonderful life.

Clyde is the one who our former neighbors just packed up and left him sitting in the driveway.
Ive always thought that there is a special place in hell for someone who would do something like that
“If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.”
Saint Francis of Assisi

You beat me to it :)

I have the same company, here’s my Onyx girl laying on me tonight like every night I’m off from work.

Oh we have one worse than that. Scruff was thrown from a moving car when he was less than six weeks old in 2015. The neighbors rushed him over here, because they knew we were cat people. We rushed him to the vet and they picked asphalt chunks out of his skin. He had a terrible rip from his chin to his pecker. Busted out teeth, a ripped lip and terribly scruffed up toes. That's where his name came from. He survived and thrived and is probably about 15 pounds. He's the sweetest cat too, but he remembers. He does not like to be picked up because he thinks he's going to be thrown.

Stop by the rental place I use to work to see if any of the cats were still around and to say hello yes they are still being well feed and one of the mommy cats wanted her picture taken and look what she did in the picture stuck her dam tongue out at me

...and a photo bomb.

We got a new one Thanksgiving. About nine weeks old now, named her Lizzie. She gets into everything, including the Christmas tree we just put up and have been decorating. She's 2/3 of the way up the tree in this pic.

"Big Dumb Kitty" and "Mean Kitty" in that order lol. My affectionate names for them.

Or as my son calls them "Seamus" and "Hazel" same order.

The big tuxedo Tom was a rescue from a hoarding situation with 60 others. He was supposed to be a barn cat (had been deemed feral) , and my wife came to the conclusion he is literally too dumb to live outside...and cuddled him into a house cat.

The female tabby, the boss, who WAS an outside cat, watched My wife cuddle the big dummy indoors, and then she literally sat at the sliding glass door, BANGING on it, until we let her in. Went on for Weeks until I caved.

Dad lost the "No I don't want cats" battle against mom and kiddo. Lol

But now you're a proud cat dad.

It ain't hard man. Just remember, if you're chosen by a cat, that's some mythical special stuff. I'm very fortunate. I have THREE that are solid daddy's cats. lol
