As a matter of fact, tonight is probably going to be the coldest night of the season here. Supposed to be like 21 in the morning. Kitty fixed up our master bathroom for one of the strays that's been hangin out. Kitty calls him Clyde. He's the one that lets us pick him up and pet him. Real sweet BIG older cat. He's battle proven. Has scars to prove it. lol Rather than let him be cold tonight, he's gonna spend the night.....and maybe tomorrow in our bathroom. The "others" ain't likin it, but they'll get over it. lol
Most of those are my daughter's. If it was up to me I would just have my dog and my kitty, of coarse the chickens for eggs.
Cats are honest independent thinkers, too bad most politicians are such.

Where there is one male tom-cat there will be more. Buy yourself cat/animal trap, put half a can of sheap cat food in it near wherever the possible entry is to the garage and you'll have a cat within 2 nights. The more difficult part is finding a cat rescue organization that will take it, s they generally only want ones that are <1yr old. If you have an animal control department in your city/county, then they may take it.
Here's a fact I heard awhile back for you cat lovers. If you die alone in your house with a dog , the dog will be dying before he/she will start eating you. With a cat it will be within a day. I always catch the cats & take them somewhere beyond a body of water, my house is between a river & creek.
Use baking soda and a good enzyme spray. You may have to do it several times. Any hardware store, like Ace has the spray. I used it to remove the smell off sour milk.

This animal problem isn't as big as the Russian Ukraine problem but it does strike a nerve with me. I dont own pets. When I lived on a farm animals were kept outside.
I have a problem with people who operate wild Bird feeders in populated areas mainly for taking pictures or other nonsense reasons . The birds spill the seeds and hord seeds near the feeders. These excess seeds attracts rats and poulations explode which attracts raccoons, coyotes and cats. These birds are arriving from all over the WORLD dropping there **** all over everyone's surronding properties. We have wildlife feeding bylaws but nothing for excessive Bird feeding enthusiasts . These people operating this bird feeder it appears is mainly to market an air BNB to the world . This family release there dogs before they enter there yard because of the raccoons. I like to look at wild animals but now I have carry bearspray just to go into my back yard. Racoons ripped a hole in my roof twice and entered my attic . A rat got into a car threw a drain plug and ripped up the headliner etc. In Vancouver city they had to kull coyotes because people started feeding them. We do things to prevent death from covid and other deseases spreading across borders and yet an obvious source of contamination is ignored.
The city thinks I am crazy when I have made complaints.

I've also heard that "fact" and have yet to see any proof of it. Just another old wives' tale to me. Same with the stupid "toxoplasmosis" disease that people think you can catch just from having cats in your house, "the infection will start eating your brain but you won't know it until it's too late!" Yes it's a real disease but you literally have to consume cat **** for it to happen. And I'd imagine you'd develop one HELL of a headache having your brain eaten by bacteria.
Cats live extremely stressful lives just based on their position in the food chain, they are carnivorous predators but also small enough to be prey for many larger animals; that's a big reason they act so 'weird' and can have really strange habits and behavior.
At first I got pissed (lol a pun!) about the talk about killing the cat but if it doesn't have tags you're probably doing it a favor. Just check your local laws first to make sure the owner can't come back at you with some legal BS, if they were able to figure out who did it in the first place. Around here (northern CO) if you let your cat outside and it doesn't have a collar with current tags the humane society will pick it up and have it euthanized pretty quickly if they don't get contacted about a lost cat; they don't screw around because cats are a menace to the local wildlife and can reproduce pretty fast.
As far as the cat piss smell, I have an (annoyingly) above-average sense of smell and never found a product that completely gets the stink out unless you can maybe soak the material. My cat pees on carpets if she's overly stressed and/or her litterbox is too full. Might be a good idea to contact your local vet for advice, not just for getting the smell out but dealing with the cat itself.

My aunt had a dodge dart that cats had lived in for 20+ years, and I inherited. to get stink out, I stripped interior, uses 2 coats of KILZ on the floor and inner doors, threw the carpet, and pinesoled the livin tar out of the door panels. reupholstered the seats. good luck with yours
We have a traveling vet that does neutering for $50/, Dirt cheap. Neutered cat won't pee in your car, and IF he is a fighter, he will keep the other Toms away.

Most cities animal control will lend or rent a live trap. When you catch a cat, you take it and the trap to animal control/pound. You take the trap home and bait it again.
We had a problem with a flower bed under a deck. Cats found the dry dirt a great potty. Trying to plant flowers you would get your fingers in a fresh loaf. There was so much urine in there that the flowers did not grow well. In a month we trapped 30 cats. One owner went to court. The bylaw officer stated he probably wanted to know which neighbor had trapped his cat and that he would likely go pay the fine once he knew. Sure enough, he paid the fine and came over to complain to us. Said one neighbors old cat had been euthanized and the owners just thought it had been run over. Well I have never tollerated BS or bullies. Thus I calmly explained that that would not have happened if the cat was in their yard like bylaws stated. When the guy left the bylaw officer said he could not believe I stayed so calm. I had noticed he was even getting annoyed at the guy.
We had a dog and no license for her. Another officer came to our house soon after to ask if we had a dog and a license. I calmly replied I would be happy to do that only when the city required licensing cats. Never heard back on that.
The city mayor was a woman cat owner who had introduced the law requiring dogs to be licensed. She felt she had done a wonderful thing to clean up the unsightly mess of dog land mines. At least dog landmines are visible so you can avoid stepping on them.
Does not solve the odour problem which is similar to that of mice intrusion, but may solve the cat problem.

Fix the cat, shoot the idiot owner.
Rock salt and cracked pepper corns. One guy I know mentioned popcorn. The thought is the heat from the powder burn will pop it, but I doubt it would work.
I also think some pig manure in a ballon fired out of a potatoe launcher might work when applied to the back of the head. Want to act like a **** head, may as well look and smell like one. But that would likely result in me or you being charged. But I do like the idea, a lot out there these days seem to qualify for being recipient.

A farm neighbor had another neighbors tomcat come over and fix up his females. He had to find homes for the kittens. One day he had been nutting the yearling bulls, so he had the antiseptic and scalpel in hand when the tom cam by. He picked up the tom and kicked his rubber boot off. Stuffed the cat head first into the boot and nutted him. Said he turned out to be the best mouser he had. Tom never left after.

The best enzymes for pet urine is at a cleaning supply retailer/wholesale dist for cleaning supplies.. I have used the enzyme to remove some really large areas.Some that were in vehicle and other in rental hoe second floors where is soacked down into the wood flooring.. Literally reaked everywhere in this large home form the pet urinating in a few spots in the home..
You may have to treat it 2-3 times .. If you have a good local carpet cleaner apartment maintenance guy/gal they can purchase for you and will know what to get you.. Good luck.. I would trap the cat and relocate it (Havahart cage and cat food fish etc) Will catch anything.. Now what you do with your catch- Whether in this world or some else's is up to you
Last time I was de nuting a Tom in the ole rubber boot, the wife let him get out and he ran UP my arm. Last time for that.

After you do all the spraying and wiping you can, buy a bag of plain charcoal, split it open to expose the charcoal and leave it in inside the car with the windows rolled/up. My friend got this tip from the funeral home director; he needed to make his brother in law’s garage smell better after the brother in law didn’t check in with family for two weeks during a hot texas summer. He said it 100% cleared up the smell. But, cat piss could be worse, I dunno.
