Cause of wandering found

After I did a disc swap, the alignment shop refused to install one piece strut rod bushings and instead used upgrade 2 piece units. They also refused to align it unless they did the lca bushes as well. I was a young trusting guy

I'm guessing the strut bushes didn't seat correctly on the passenger side and slipped the first time I hit the brakes hard. Bang! What the hell was that?

It's taken me 20 years to pull that one nut off to see.

Things I tried to fix the wander: rebuild steering box, rebuild coupler, upgrade lower column to ball bearing, replace uca bushings, play with alignment..

Only discovered because I decided to do the lca bushings.

 
I think I would be finding another alignment shop, they saw you coming and did shoddy work also.
