Hey everyone. Havnt posted in here in a while but will all this stuff on in the world right now i deleted my facebook and instagram so going to post in here. Im in the process of installing a new chris alston 3x2 a arm frame to my 1968 valiant sedan. The car had some pretty bad rust in the front control arm frame area and the only place that I have found that sells new control arm mounts is Classic Industries and they were about 230-250 dollars a piece and to me that is alot of money just for mounts and yes I could have made my own but there are spots of the front frame that were patched from previous owner and i wanted to convert to a rack and pinion coilover and didnt wanna pay almost 5k for the Reilly Motorsports one( don't get me wrong the Riley Motorsport one is definitely worth the money but not for me). Back in 2011 Hot Rod Magazine had an article on a demon that they put this same front frame on that car. It had a twin turbo gen3 hemi it in. Well so seeing that car made me want to do the same front end. I placed my order a few weeks ago and started working on installing it. So i will try and keep everyone posted on the updated and stuff. I do need some ideas on what cross member to run. The plan is to run the new rails thw whole way back the car( so they double as frame) to where the leaf springs bolt to. Want to run a 3x2 tube from rocker to rocker for the new leaf spring mounts to mount too. Will be moving them inboard the frame rails and thinking or welding them straight to the 3x2 tubing so its all tied in together and stiff. Well what crossmember do you guys think would be best a drop one or just weld a loop in the center of a straight piece. Let me know what you guys think. what you guys don't like. And everything else. Thanks
