Chucks of plastic in 904 filter?

This 904 has been sitting a few years, but was working fing when parked. Drained the pan and removed the filter and found the filter has these chunks of green plastic on both sides of the filter. I thought it was the speedometer gear, so I pulled it and it's fine, and yellow. Anyone know what this could be? Thanks

Speedo gear it ate in the past that it is regurgitating.

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully that plastic floating around didn't hurt anything in there.
