cincinnati, ohio, anyone?

-
My wife is from Cincinnati the Milford area. We live in Florida now but do visit her brother in Camp Dennison when we can afford to.
I still dont know what's so special about the chili but her first stop is always Skyline or Goldstar.:dontknow: She even has her brother bring cans of it when they come to visit.

I live on the west side, I'm not a big fan of the chili either! Where in florida do you live?

Not to hijack the thread but I grew up in Forest Park and moved to Florida in
1978.
I used to like Gold Star Chili but they changed the recipe about 2 years ago so now Skyline is what I eat. I brought some back in December and my brother also brings me a CARE package when he comes down.

Just a little heads-up. You can get Skyline at some WalMarts and there are 5 Skylines restaurants in Florida......

1 is in Clearwater !!! I have been there once about 10 years ago.
Maybe we can meet up.

And I am almost out of Skyline now.

That's just north from me about 25 miles. The wife has to stop every time we are in the area.:toothy10:
Oh yeah I almost forgot the Mock Turtle Soup what ever that is.:dontknow:LOL

skyline changed their recipe about 10 years ago, havn't liked it since. Tastes too watered down. Needs more chocolate. Yes, cincinnati chili has chocolate in it! I still have it every once and a while, I like it with penne or farfalle pasta, makes it taste better! Skyline is best from the frozen food isle, you know, the little tray.

My son likes it so much, I think I could serve it on cardboard.

I really need a Skyline fix.

Jetman,
Like I said, I grew up in Forest Park, street raced with Mark Oswald (Candies and Hughes and also In-And Out Burger T/F Funny Cars), hung around with the the guys from D&J's shop and held the class track record at Edgewater with my Kaw 500 for years.
Also was on the Forest Park Police's 'list'.

My brother still lives at mom and dad's house and he is almost finished with his farm house in the big town of Reilly.

jetman ur close, i live in western hills, right by oak hills high school. you may need to come oversee my work!

Me and 64Dart170 live in Aurora, IN. Don't drive in Cinnicinati though John said I would get lost and he would never see me again. Love Gold Star chilli but not Skyline.

Couple miles SE of Cincy. Down by the river. Gold Star chili kicks Skyline in every way.:snakeman:

My wife's cousin Bobby lives in Harrison. He take's us to the casino.:-D

ABB and me live next to that casino in Aurora IN. We are between 2 casinos, 1 in Lawrenceburg and 1 in Rising Sun!
If anyones ever heading this way, PM me!
John8)

We eat Gold Star, but it's really hard to beat those skyline burritos! 2 hours later, bathroom break!!!

"Two Scoop's" and I live in Hamilton, Oh about 30 to 45 min. North of Cinci, depending on how fast you drive lol :-D. Bought Two Scoop's in Harrison about 7yrs ago man time sure does fly.

College hill. Everyone should go to the car show at spring grove cemetery. It is around halloween, really neat show. I will be there. Let me know if anyone is interested and i will post dates. It is free and they give away a few door prizes.

Spring Grove Cemetary is where my parents are buried. Back in the 40's they lived in Wooden Shoe Hollow- the old part of Winton Rd that goes up the hill.

Might have to make another trip then.

Cincinnati here too... Western Colerain Township. I also lived in Aurora IN for about 4-years... and my vote is for Skyline, but if you want the best Cincy Chili go to Camp Washington.

I have lived in Cincy my whole life. Grew up in Anderson Township now currently living in Withamsville near eastgate.

Had an aunt that lived behind the Fire Dept out there and a best friend that lives on Locust Corner Rd down at the bottom of Nine Mile Rd.

It's old time week for me.
