Classic Car Electric Conversions - Thoughts?

There will be a point then it will become more common and a cheaper way to keep classic cars on the road and not worry about them meeting the crusher due to tightening emission.
No Way! Just buy an electric car.
No way for me in my lifetime.

I get the jest of the story. Just like pro street and candy apple paint. It’s another new way to modify your cars. I think some cars being done is cool but until battery technology moves ahead... it’s a novelty to me. But then again I’m just now thinking radial tires are a pretty good idea. Lol!

I'm glad I'm too old for this to be an issue for me
Small, light cars like A bodies with manual transmissions are the perfect candidate for electric conversions. There are pretty affordable universal kits that are available.
I'll never have one.

I agree. I want no part of it. This insistance by the political powers to "convert this country" is going to cause massive brown and blackouts. There is no "green" power. Up here in the PNW there are some dams but even here, nat gas turbines supplement the hydro power.
And I WANT THE SOUND!!! And I don't mean a subeedoo fart can, either
I was a certified emission repair specialist. When the carbureted cars went Away and TBI Came in it was a lot better. Then multiport fuel injection came along and it was unreal how clean a tailpipe was.

This Dodge came through the intersection the other way coming at me pulling a trailer, he was on the throttle and I could not see at all leaving me in the middle of a 4 lane intersection for about what seemed like 3 or 4 minutes probably 30 sec maybe more because there was no wind and the soot just hung there. I think that was really uncalled for. LOL. But really I could have gotten T-Boned, The local cops don't seem to care.
