Classic Country

Thank God you don't all listen to thrash metal! :toothy8:
Charlie Daniels Band has to be one of my favorites, like Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakum, Waylon, the list goes on, not much new stuff Gretchin Wilson was an exception. But if you've got a tight handling mopar and some twisty mountain roads, nothing beats a bit of Scrugs' Foggy Mountain breakdown.:burnout:

I love country music...mostly the newer stuff (1990ish-present), but I like some Jonny Cash and a few other oldies as well.
My favorite is Alan Jackson.

Marty Robbins "El Paso"

I grew up listening to Country. Seems to be quite common. How could you not like Marty Robbins. Great, smooth voice, and he raced cars, too. Even starred in a movie or two. And I guess, if you were female, he was kinda good lookin'.

Glad to see so many others who like my old favorites.
George Jones
Marty Robbins
Charlie Daniels
Charlie Pride
Hank (both Sr. and Jr.)
Conway Twitty (especially with Loretta Lynn)
Ricky Van Shelton
nobody's mentioned Don Williams yet????
Charlie Rich
Kris
Johnny
Willie
Waylon
Merle
Tennessee Ernie Ford
Jimmy Dean
Faron Young
Ferlin Husky
I could type names for hours just off the top shelf of the CD cabinet and not touch an album that's less than 20 years old.

No one mentioned Skeeter Davis. I guess if i had a preference it would be Travis Tritt and Marty Stewart. How about Hogy Carmichael? How about Woodie Guthrie? You guys probably aren't that old. Alan Jackson is good. I like to hear em do their gospel stuff also. That really lets me know if they can sing. If they cant sing they just play louder.
