I am very early in the planning stages of my first slant build. I have both intakes. Is one better than the other?

The Clifford is the performance piece. The Offy is "just"to get a four barrel on.

It depends on your build.
Are you going to run headers, port work on head, cut the deck/head,or over boring the block..
Offy are for stock to mild hp and are at home with stock exhaust manifold.
Clifford are for street strip hp wiith higher rpms due to larger plenum and runners ..Take a look over slantsix.org they have a lot of discussions about it.

Neither one is really better than the other, it's just a matter of which is better for your purpose. For a street car, the Offenhauser is just fine. The Clifford pulls better at higher rpm's. This is why you will notice that a lot of the heavy hitting slant racers run the Clifford. I also had experience with the somewhat rare Weiand WDP 4 intake, which performed much like the Offy.
