summit racing sells a nice offenhouser valve cover for the slant. looks like mine

I think you got lucky bigus.

I've coated a couple of those brand new ones from Summit, part of the manufacturer's repop response to lots of people begging for Offy to bring them back.

There's leftover metal polish in between the valleys, they don't buff inside the bolt recesses at all and there's a lot of slag and metal gashes throughout. It looks to me like they run 'em over a buffer a few times, slap them in a box and sell them to the public. The polishing on this one left so much to be desired that it got blasted and covered up with Super Chrome powder rather than trying to improve on what the factory did.

my cover is actually the old school offy. i did get lucky. but i have a friend that just got a offy from summit and he loves it.
