Column shift doesn't like to stay in park

I have a 3 speed auto column shifted 340 swinger, I dropped my steering
Column to pull out my gauge cluster put everything back in and the car wouldn't start. After a few hours I figured out that my shifter while saying it was in park seemed to be I guess half in reverse so at least I know my safety switch works. If you deliberately put it in park everything is good just seems more loose now. Any reccomendations to tighten it up?

The linkage does sometimes loose some adjustment when the column is lowered, especially if you pulled down on the column.
The adjust point is under the car. Best to refer to the service manual but If my memory serves... set screw at adjust block loosened, then trans and shifter settled in neutral position, tighten screw, done.
