Bummer, one of the absolute greatest comedians ever. RIP
His show Newhart from the 80’s set in Vermont was pure gold.
When it ended though, the way they tied it to his earlier show was the icing on the cake.
Agreed, arguably the best ending ever for a TV show.

He always made me laugh. He was the master of the dead pan delivery. RIP sir. Truly one of the greats.
That's what made him great, the deadpan delivery, I absolutely loved that.

I like his dead pan humor. you never knew if it was something serious until the end of his dialogue.
The end of the Newhart show was the best!
My wife said when she saw the last scene with the bed room setup from the old show she knew something was up, but when Suzanne Pleshette rolled over that was the clincher.

Countless guest appearances on TV, two fantastic series, made him a welcome guest in many homes over the years. I enjoyed his series along with my family. The end of the second series was one of the best surprise endings ever. He was so funny over the years, definitely will be missed. RIP Sir, and thanks.
I loved his humor and TV shows. The best.
