compatability of shifter handles

I have a shifter mechanism that uses a slide in style handle. Can the bolt in style handle be used in a slide in shifter mechanism?

Yes they can, I used my bayonet push in style pistol grip in my Scamp. I just slid the shifter in and bolted it with one bolt and marked the position and drilled my pistol grip to use 2 bolts. Just an idea. I hope this helps ya
