hi all, I've got a 68 barracuda with a stockish 318 in it. I was reading through an old repair book ("Motor's Auto Repair manual - 1972") with a pretty good Mopar data section and came across some compression numbers which I'm questioning. The book says 1968 and 1969 318's have 9.2:1 compression - stock. But in 1970 it drops to 8.8 and in 1971 it goeas down to 8.6. Stranegly the HP number stays the same at 230. Any one know for sure if these numbers are accurate?
