i got a 1971 360 engine i found some nos rods for it but the #s say the wont work on a 71-72 wondering why the casting# is 3418645 the part # came back 3751015 or 4387244 neither says for a 71 360 , they come back to 76-90 318 ,74-75 360 hp ,or 76-90 360

is there any reason why they wouldnt fit on my 71 stock 360 crankshaft
and work properly they were 6.123 rods

need the knowlage team for HELP

also need to trade new kb107+60 for a forged piston set 4.030 asap if interested

Don't see why they won't work. The crank pin diameter never changed and the only dimensional changes to the rod that I know of didn't happen until the 5.9 Magnum came along. All they did then was make the small end narrower.

only thing i can think of ..is that the earlier rods were bushing for floating pins...the later are not bushed...

Only 340's had floating pins. Same rod as the early 360 except they were not bushed. Some 360's came with small rods. Use the large beam rods and check there weight. If you have extra rods always use the rods with the smallest bump above the Wrist pin. This means there is more weight in the beam. The smaller the bump the stronger the rod.
