I made up a list of fuel/spark controller options.

I separated them between Carb, Factory EFI and the 'self learning 'smart ' EFI systems.

Please critique and if you can think of a combo or a product Ive overlooked - let me know.

NOTE - Factory PCM can mean its remapped for purpose in this list.
NOTE - MSD 6013 for early 5.7/6.1 only....(unless you change the crank tone ring)

Gen 3 Controllers

1- Combo - G3 hemi, Carb, 727/Stick

FUEL - Carbs
IGN - Factory PCM, MSD 6013, Holley HP ECU, FAST XIM

2- Combo- G3 hemi, Factory EFI, 727/Stick

FUEL - FAST XFI ,
IGN - FAST XIM , MSD6013
FUEL & IGN - Fact PCM, Megasquirt, Microsquirt, Fueltech, Holley Dominator/ECU, (Autronic, Motec, Wolf - all require ignitor box)

3- Combo- G3 hemi, 'Smart' EFI TB, 727 -

FUEL - MSD ATOMIC, Holley HP 4BBL, FiTech,
IGN - MSD 6013, FAST XIM, Holley ECU

4- Combo - G3 hemi, Factory EFI, Factory transmission

FUEL/IGN/TRANS - Factory PCM
FUEL/IGN - All used with Sound German Auto trans controller - Megasquirt, Microsquirt, FAST XFI/ XIM , Holley Dominator/ECU , Fueltech, (Motec, Autronic, Wolf - all require ignitors)
TRANS - Sound German Automotive

5- Combo - G3 hemi, 'Smart' EFI TB, Factory transmission

FUEL -MSD Atomic, Holley HP 4BBL, FiTech
IGN - Factory PCM , Holley ECU, FAST XIM, MSD6013
TRANS - Factory PCM, Sound German Automotive - Must be used when running Fast XIM, Holley, MSD, Fitech
 
Theoretically I believe a Megasquirt can be used to independently control fuel or spark on pretty much any setup you have listed. I'm not sure how easy it is to split sensor outputs, but I think it's possible and has been done before.
 
With this list you should do harnesses as well. Would also be useful to have pictures in it to show what you mean.

This is the sum total of my knowledge - if others want to post pics or add to the list..thats the idea.
 
Gen 3 + Mopar performance EFI + AEM ecu + 727 works as well
