convert from 3 speed to 4 speed ?

Could I bolt up a 67 4 speed up to a 71 slant 6 3 speed bellhousing or do I need a different bellhousing?

I had to find a truck bell housing. A good crazy friend put an 18' spline four speed behind his slant six in his 67' Coronet, He just looked for the truck Bell housing. Now, he feels ready should any Hemi drift by and attach itself to his Coronet. You never know!

Check the bellhousing some are drilled for both the 4 speed and 3 speed. If the holes are there it will work.

I thought the mounting holes were the same that it would be the center hole that might be different.

Center should be the same but the bolt holes are in different spots. Sorry I dont have a pic but if you look at a dual drilled housing you will see the difference.

I guess I need to crawl under it and look for the extra holes.So will there be 4 extra holes to look for?

Cool Thanks Chrysler fat.It looks like I am looking for 4 holes then.If the holes are there I think I am going to put my four speed behind my slant.
