converter bolt up

Im putting a 727 back into my 360 Swinger Did some measuring and from the face of the bell housing to the bolt holes in the torque converter measures 9/16 in. From the mounting face of the block to the flex plate is 7/16. The converter is in as deep in the tranny as it will go. So that means when its all bolted up it pulls the converter 1/8 away from where its sitting now Sound right? Thanks Jim

Yes Jim, it needs to come forward a tad to touch flexplate
