Convertible boot fitment

I've ordered a boot from Legendary interiors. The flaps do not come down to catch the snaps on my rear door panels. They suggest that factory panels didnt have those snaps.

I have included a third pic showing my current boot, although worn and old, still fitting far better than the proposed new boot form Legendary.

Please let me know if the flaps are supposed to come down and catch a lower snap on the door panel or if it is an aftermarket addition.

I'm pretty sure the boot fits between the interior panel and the convertible top frame, there is a clip on the boot that when you install it this way hooks the top frame.
I have seen people tuck it between the seat and the panel, I just didn't like that and the clip, the clip is there for a reason.

I'd say the extra snap was added sometime later.

It goes between the top frame and the side panel. Green arrows

There's a snap on both interior side panels that the 'ears' snap onto.

There are no other snaps on the OEM armrest / side panels

Confused?

The OP has a 67-69 dart or barracuda, there should not be any interior snaps on the inside panel except for the top
snap.
