My Duster 340 has manual brakes and I want to convert to power brakes.
However, I was told that my cam does not produce enough vacuum to support power brakes.
Is there anything I can do other than changing out cams, which I won't do.

Vacuum reservoir, vacuum pump, or if you have power steering, you can get a hydro boost setup.

Many current diesel cars have an electric vacuum pump just to operate the booster. I have seen VW & Audi ones for $50 used on ebay. New ones for modder's cost >$300 (Summit, Jegs, ...).

I have power brakes on my Challenger and manuals on my Duster.

I HATE the power brakes on my Challenger. No feel whatsoever, and they really don't make it a ton easier to work the pedal. Not enough to be worth it IMHO. I'll be swapping the Challenger over to manuals.

If you don't have the vacuum to run the power brakes, I wouldn't swap it over. Maybe consider a master cylinder upgrade, I run DrDiffs 15/16" bore aluminum master on my Duster.

Your other option would be to look into doing a hydroboost system instead, there's a few guys on here that have done that conversion.
