converting to hydraulic?

Different cam, lifters, pushrods and rockers. I think that's it. BUT, I THINK you should be able to use the solid cam pushrods and rockers. That would give you the benefit of an adjustable valvetrain.
 
Hydraulic pushrods are shorter ,for a given engine. I used the original solid lifter pushrods in a '67 273 w/ hydraulic cam, but I had to shim up the rocker shafts to do it.
 
To convert from solid lifter setup to hydraulic setup on a slant six requires, ALL of these items.
Cam
Lifters
Pushrods
Rocker arms
If using used rocker arms, they should be kept on the shaft they were run on.
The rear rocker arm shaft bolt, should stay with the head, as there were some changes, in size, depending on year
