Saw this car at the street rod nats in pueblo CO. 69 Caprice 2dr 427 4spd unrestored 60k on the clock. Same owner last 43 years. I would almost let this car sit in my garage.

She's a beauty! The 335 horse engine was very mild in the cam department as it used a similar 390/410 lift job as the 396/325hp used. Ironically, the code for that engine was LS1.... Regardless of how fast it was.....or not, that 4spd really make's it a sweet ride.

Wow all that weight and HP and no power brakes. Nice car though.

Hang on, s***'s about to get fun!

My '69 Sport Satellite tips the scales at 4000# with me in the driver's seat. 383 4bbl, 3.55's in the rear. Manual drums all the way around. Never had an issue hauling it down from triple digits.

It's unusual cars like this that catch my eye at the car shows.

Always loved the Caprice. Wasn't really the norm. Didn't see a lot of them, especially with a Big Block and 4sp. We had a guy in the next neighborhood that had one back in the early 70's.

It'll smokum from a 30MPH roll in 2nd. GuarOnteed.

I had a 69 Nova years ago. It was an original......wait for it........153 car. That's right. A 4 cylinder. They didn't make a ton of them. Motor was long gone when I got it. But I had in my "inventory" at the time a 71 "396" (actually 402) that was a factory 325 horse motor. I also had a real nice pair of closed chamber heads and the factory Q-jet iron high rise intake along with some LS6 exhaust mannyfolds. I whipped up a little blueprinted 350 horse 396 right down to the Crane blueprint series cam and stuck it in that car with a hot turbo 350 and a 3.73 posi. That was probably one of the funnest cars I ever had. It would do continuous doughnuts.

I've always been a fan of full size muscle from all there American makers.

Yes! Only the USA had BIG muscle cars. Just last week I saw this 335 hp 4-speed Fury, I wonder which would win in a race?
