I pulled my pan off 408 LA block (fresh build) to fix a small pan leak and there was fresh clean water/coolant in the pan. Appears to be dripping down from front of engine by #1 cylinder. Took valve covers off and oil is clean.
Can't figure it out because engine ran great and oil was clean when drained. Engine ran cool. Something happened to cause this either when pan was being pulled off or when I replaced delete plug on WP heater line. The pan was real tight with silicone and needed a few taps with mallet. Could it be a cracked WP or chain cover? Could pulling the delete cap off the heater line cause some kind of back flow? I'm at a loss in this one.

Did you check the timing cover? It's not unheard of to get some tiny holes from electrolysis.
