Cooler Lines

Are 904 and 727 cooler lines the same? Trying to see if I can use an A Body with a 727 on my 408/727 A100 project. Was thinking about a 72 340 Duster with the 727 but In-Line Tube does not seem to differentiate between a 904 and 727.

Someone smarter than me will hopefully chime in, but the lines I bought for my E-body supposedly fit both 727 and 904s.

They should be the same size, but the routing may be a bit different.

I was thinking that the rear 904 line may be shorter by a couple inches because of the difference in length of the trans. I will try to look at my 904 and 1 of my 727 trans and see for you.

Sure fooled me. It appears that the 727/904 cooler fittings are in the same place. From the face of the bellhousing(part that meets the eng block) to the front cooler line, is approx 7 inches and approx 15 inches to the rear cooler line on both. Hop[e this helps.

Way back I got a set for my 904, figured I could adjust them, went right in, no adjustment needed.
