Hello all,

I have a 71 Twister that I am putting back to its original floor shift configuration. Sometime in it's life, it was made into a column shift car
with 727 automatic. My question is this... What year did Plymouth start
putting the “column lock, thumb lever ring” that is next to the ignition key switch? I want to find the correct floor shift steering column and I know in the late 60's and in 1970, the a-bodies did not have the ignition lock out ring.
Did 71's have it?
Thank you in advance for any clues you can provide!

they did not put the "key on the side of the column" until 70

before that iginition was on dash, could not lock the column at all. I would imagine that the lockout began in 70, however. I am not an expert
