Nm9 the carb is not originalits a volley 1945 bought it a few years back rebuilt it and it has gone smoothly till recently.

I honestly think the starter just happened to start die now it barely turns over I have battery power and a spark but the starter is just going slower and slower. Just needs to last a few more days.

My original thought when you first posted...She's worn and finally had enough.

Well if you want to buy parts and throw at it that's OK, but that is why they make diagnostic gear and that's why we suggest you actually test stuff. So let's say you buy a starter.

And next a battery

Next an alternator

Maybe a couple of battery cables

and last, you find out it's because the regulator was bad.

Or maybe, not.

Or MAYBE the belt was loose, and oily?

I didn't just just throw parts at it. My vacuum advance on my distributor wasn't working so I replaced that. The wires and plugs were in horrible conditions. And needed replacement. And when o did that the electronic ignition NOx went. I tested everything and deemed it that. And the ballast board was 2 bucks and mine was starting to break. The alternator is only one year old my other one the bearing melted on it and locked up while driving. I killed the battery while the whole distributor buisness was happening so I replaced that as well. The belt were dry as a bone and I just replaced them as well. So maybe I just did everything because it just happened back to back.

Zookypr I thought the same thing. But it was strange it only did it when it was warm. Now its almost done.
