Couldn't afford the Challenger so...

I own one too. A vista blue 2007 GT deluxe with leather and a stick. Nice car bought mine new . To date only has 8,125 on the clock. She stays in the garage and under a cover. I have a battery maintainer hooked up, and i go for drives every so often.

I have a cold air intake , and flowmaster axle back pipes. Also shortened the shifter throw, and installed polyurethane bushings in the shifter arm to get rid of the wet Noodle feeling shifter. Good luck with it man, these are really nice and well built cars. Put mine up for sale here on fabo awhile back, no takers, but lots of folks saying i would be sorry the moment its gone, so i toughed it out with the money issues and kept it. Im glad i did. The challys are super nice, id love one of these but cost prohibitive. Id want a heritage R/T 6 speed pistol grip manual. Anybody got 38K they could lend me lok.

Matt

Sounds like you take really good care of yours. Mine was really clean when I got it. The some lady hit me in the door. it really isn't bad but my car is perfect anymore. I want a used Challenger SRT8 for 28k - 6 speed - Black or Hemi Orange or Silver. They are out there...

When my wife wanted to buy me a new scoot, I initially wanted a challenger but no one could tell me if and when they would ever arrive at the dealership so my wife bought me a vista blue '07 Mustang GT which I made to look a little like an Elanor..also side pipes and cragars with wide back tires were a must.. 5 years later all I have put into the thing is general maintenance once a year. ...and I have hopped into it and driven 5 hours without thinking about tools or taking spare parts..and feeling great..a bit diffrent from my classic car dayes

I still get major stares. thumbs up and kids waving when I rumble past them.. cannot wait to take out the Duster.

In my opinion Ma Chrysler really screwed the release of the Chally up...

have fun with your 'stang because that is what it was made for..

I agree with that statement. They really screwed the release of the challenger up. Offer a limited edition $45,000 hot car only, and not offer it with a stick shift. Sell only the srt for 2 years, then decide to offer a smaller V8 R/T, and V6 model. They should have offered all 3 from the get go, and i probably would have waited till 08 for an R/T. I wasnt gonna pay 45k for a car like that, nevermind its not even a stick shift.

Ford offered the retro mustang in lots of different cost levels for buyers. There was a mustang for every price range. Sorry ma mopar ya screwed up the launch of the challenger by not offering something for everyone from the start. I love my GT. Ford did good on this one.
