Putting 5X4 bolt Cragars on my 69 Barracuda Formula S project. I have long studs on the car now and would still like to use them. Talked to Summit today and Cragar does not make open end Cragar shank lug nuts for the 5X4's to use with long studs. Anyone see any reason why I couldn't mill the rounded tip of the closed lug nut and run those on my Cragars? They are not unilug but straight drilled.

We'll see when I get those closed end jobs from Summit. I think those caps will just pop off with a good strike.

The ones on my car aren't capped. But they were also put on the car in '96 so...

Why not change out studs. It would be pretty easy, and you could always save the longer ones.
